Description: The Tropical Downbeat Orchestra seven-piece band lay down a fine line in jazz/soul/funk/reggae. Lead singer Margot Pierard knows the part she has to play perfectly: at times belting it out like an old school gospel legend, at others pulling it back to a sexy sensual croon, she's very much the centrepiece around which the band weave their funky beats and jazzy grooves. Not to say that the band don't get their moments to shine.
