The Tropical Downbeat Orchestra seven-piece band lay down a fine line in jazz/soul/funk/reggae. Lead singer Margot Pierard knows the part she has to play perfectly: at times belting it out like an old school gospel legend, at others pulling it back to a sexy sensual croon, she's very much the centrepiece around which the band weave their funky beats and jazzy grooves.
